St Finbarr's manager Ray Keane expects Dr Crokes to be "there or thereabouts" when the Andy Merrigan Cup is handed out next March.

Keane was speaking after the Killarney outfit hammered his side by 21 points to qualify for their 10th Munster club SFC final against Clare's Miltown-Malbay.

"I am sure they won't hide the fact that they are trying to go the whole way," a disappointed Keane told the Irish Examiner.

"They are in with a good shout. You need luck along the way. If they stay injury-free and keep at it over the Christmas, because there is a long break there of eight or nine weeks, which is baffling in a sense. A lot can happen in that space of time.

"If they are not there or thereabouts at the end of it, I'd be amazed."
