Kerry maintained their vice-like grip on the Munster MFC silverware with a comprehensive 20-point victory over Clare at Pairc Ui Chaoimh.

The curtain raiser to the senior decider between the Kingdom and Cork went along expected lines as the team in green and gold ran out 3-21 to 1-7 winners.

Paul Walsh (1-7) and Dylan Geaney (2-2) were the Banner County's tormentors-in-chief while 10 players made the scoresheet for Peter's side.

They conceded an early goal to Thomas Kelly but their response was emphatic.

They subsequently hit the Banner County for 1-12 without reply and took a 1-15 to 1-2 lead into the break.

Geaney found the back of the Clare net in the opening period and he repeated the trick in the second-half before Walsh got in on the goal scoring act.
