John Evans believes Kerry are on the cusp of breaking Dublin's dominance of the football landscape.
The Laune Rangers clubman, who is in his first year as Wicklow manager, feels it's only a matter of time before the Kingdom's recent underage success bears fruit at senior level.
"Definitely, it is going to happen. Kerry should probably have moved earlier in bringing in some of the younger players," Evans told the Irish Sun at yesterday's 2018 Leinster SFC launch in Trim Castle.
"They're just six, maybe 12 months behind - but definitely, I can see the dynamic changing.
"I said three years ago when the 'Gooch' would go from Kerry and Bernard Brogan from Dublin, and the entourage attached to those boys, the whole thing is going to open up and who was going to be better prepared? At the moment, it looks like Dublin are, but I don't think Kerry will be too far behind."
