Declan Bonner is hoping Donegal can overcome Armagh tomorrow night to seal a place in the Dr McKenna Cup final.

Should the Tir Chonail men get the better of the Orchard County in Wednesday's semi-final at Ballybofey, then they would have to take on holders Tyrone in the decider on Sunday - just seven days before facing Kerry in the first round of the league in Killarney but a scenario Bonner would welcome:

"We would probably be looking for a game next weekend in preparation for the Kerry game," he told the BBC. "We're looking forward to Wednesday night's game.

"We played Armagh a couple of weeks ago and beat them by a couple of points. It was a very good challenge match, similar to the McKenna Cup. A very good workout."

After snow nationwide today and with more of the white stuff expected tonight and tomorrow, a pitch inspection will take place at MacCumhaill Park on Wednesday to determine whether or not the game can go ahead.
