Geaney and Lyne out of Kerry's plans

Dublin's Paul Flynn comes under pressure from Michael Geaney and Jonathan Lyne of Kerry during the 2017 Allianz League final

Kerry manager Eamonn Fitzmaurice will plan without Jonathan Lyne and Michael Geaney for 2018.

The Irish Independent reports today that both players are no longer part of the Munster champions' set-up but it is understood that Donnchadh Walsh will be around to play for a 12th season with the Kingdom.

Lyne played in his county's 2015 All-Ireland SFC final defeat to Dublin while Geaney - a cousin of All Star forward Paul - came on in the drawn semi-final against Mayo last August.

Midfielder David Moran is currently side-lined with injuries and isn't expected to see much league action and it's expected that Fitzmaurice will hand out a couple of debuts in the early part of their Division 1 campaign, with ex-minor stars Sean O'Shea and David Clifford thought to be at the front of the line.
