Meath and Down will contest the All-Ireland MHC 'B' final following their respective victories over Kildare and Armagh this afternoon.
In Trim, Meath held on for a 2-15 to 2-12 win over Kildare after leading by 2-10 to 0-4 at half-time. Goals from Mikey Mullen, who top-scored with 1-7, and Brian Dowling in the eighth and 24th minutes had the Royals cruising, but the visitors rallied in the second half and had reduced the deficit to the minimum, 2-12 to 2-13, before late points from Evan Fitzgerald and Mullen settled it.
In the other semi-final at the Athletic Grounds, Down walloped neighbours Armagh by 6-32 to 1-3 after taking a 3-16 to 1-2 lead into the interval.
