Clare forward Peter Duggan turned on the style to help his club to a senior hurling championship win last weekend.

The county star scored an impressive 2-13 in Clooney-Quin's 2-22 to 2-14 extra time win over Feakle at Shannon last Saturday evening.

The win was even more impressive as the winners played the final quarter of the game with 14-men after Jimmy Corry received a second yellow card.

However, the main talking point was the performance of Duggan who hit 2-03 from play as well as ten frees to help with his coach and former Clare All-Ireland winner Fergie O'Loughlin describing the performance as 'a great contribution'.

The win sees Clooney-Quin move into the third round of the SHC where they will face Whitegate. Defending champions Ballyea will take on O'Callaghan Mills, while the rest of the draw sees St Joseph's v. Cratloe and Inagh-Kilnamona face Tulla.

Already through to the quarterfinals are Sixmilebridge, Newmarket, Clonlara and Eire Og.

The relegation play-off semi-finals are: Feakle v. Wolfe Tones and Crusheen v. Clarecastle.
