Chairman calls on Ryan to remain at helm

Tipperary chairman Michael Bourke has publicly stated that he would like to see Michael Ryan stay on as senior hurling manager.
Ryan's two-year term as manager came to an end following the heartbreaking defeat to Galway in an enthralling All-Ireland SHC semi-final at Croke Park last Sunday afternoon.
During his term, Ryan guided the county to provincial and All-Ireland glory in 2016, but a heavy defeat in the NHL final to Galway and a poor Munster campaign saw some question the team's appetite for success this year.
However, last Sunday's performance certainly dispelled those theories and Bourke told the Tipperary Star that he feels Ryan and the rest of his management team should stay on.
"I would be hopeful that they are the men to lead us forward," stated Bourke. "The shift that they have put in for the last two years has been phenomenal."
"They have had good days and low days, but they are there for the betterment of Tipperary. They have a good squad of players that can work and be back again. There is always room for change, but once the leaders remain you can work with that. That will be Mick's call at the end of the day."
