Laois SHC final replay: Borris-in-Ossory Kilcotton make history at the second attempt

October 23, 2016

Borris-in-Ossory Kilcotton are Laois SHC champions for 2016.

Ken Hogan has guided Borris-in-Ossory Kilcotton to a first ever Laois SHC success.

After an epic encounter a fortnight ago, the former Tipperary netminder's charges finished on the right side of the 1-18 to 2-10 result in today's Laois SHC final replay against Rathdowney-Errill in O'Moore Park.

They held a 1-7 to 1-5 advantage at the change of ends and even though Paddy Purcell got Rathdowney-Errill back on level terms in the second-half, Hogan's charges weren't to be denied.

Neil Foyle's first minute goal sent them on the road to a historic success while PJ Scully found the target with 0-12 frees.
