Meath and Mayo will contest this year's All-Ireland U21 'B' hurling championship final following their respective victories over Kerry and Roscommon this afternoon.

Meath recovered from a four-point half-time deficit to power to a 1-21 to 1-12 victory over the Kingdom in the Trim, while Mayo claimed the local bragging rights when they edged out Roscommon by 0-13 to 2-6 at Elvery's MacHale Park. The final will be played as a curtain-raiser to the All-Ireland U21 'proper' decider in Thurles on Saturday, September 10.

Kerry held a 1-9 to 0-8 lead at the interval, but the hosts produced a dominant second half performance to join their minor counterparts in the All-Ireland 'B' final.

In the other semi-final, Mayo stormed into an early 0-6 to 0-1 lead, only for the visitors to reply with an unanswered 1-3 - the goal coming from Jason Martin - to lead by 1-4 to 0-6 at the break.

Fergal Boland - who top-scored with 0-8 - levelled on the restart before David Harrison put John Waldron's charges back in front. Despite hitting a number of wides, Mayo continued to lead until Gearoid Keenan's late goal looked to have snatched victory for the Rossies.

But Mayo refused to panic as Boland levelled before Zac O'Toole grabbed an injury-time winner.
