2014 Christy Ring Cup winning manager Brian Lawlor has stepped down as Kildare senior hurling manager.
In a statement issued today, Lilywhite chiefs paid tribute to the departing Lawlor when confirming the news: "Brian Lawlor has decided not to seek another term as manager of the Kildare Senior Hurling team.
"During his two years at the helm, Brian guided Kildare to our first ever Christy Ring title in 2014 and to promotion to Division 2A of the Allianz Hurling League in 2015.
"Kildare GAA would like to thank Brian for the work, commitment and dedication together with his attention to detail that he displayed in the past two years.
"We would like to wish him well in the future."
