Limerick 3-14

Clare 2-15

Captain Willie Griffin shot 2-6 as Limerick trumped Clare in this afternoon's Munster IHC quarter-final at Semple Stadium.

The Limerick captain netted twice in the second half to earn the Treaty men a semi-final date with Tipperary on June 21. Sub Mike Fitzgerald also raised a green flag for the winners, who had trailed by 0-9 to 1-8 at half-time, with Clare's goal coming from Ian Galvin in the sixth minute.

Ryan Taylor's 38th minute strike had the Banner 2-8 to 0-11 ahead, but Fitzgerald's 45th minute reply proved a turning point as Limerick went on to take the win.
