Cork and Kilkenny finished level in Pairc Ui Rinn this evening but, more importantly, there was a large turnout to support the 'Friends of Jamie Wall' fundraising match.

An attendance of 3,185 passed through the turnstiles to show their support for Cork dual player Jamie who has been left paralysed from the waist down after suffering from an epidural abscess on his spine last year.

The 23-year-old received a standing ovation when he addressed the crowd during the half-time interval.

The Cats led by 1-11 to 1-9 at that stage but second-half goals from Paudie O'Sullivan, Stephen Moylan, and substitute Dayne Lee helped Jimmy Barry-Murphy's charges secure a share of the spoils.
