GAA President Aogán Ó Fearghail has expressed his condolences on behalf of the wider organisation to the family of Shane Mulholland who was killed in a car accident last night.
The Antrim man, based in Fermanagh, hurled with both the county team and Lisbellaw, and he worked for Cavan GAA promoting hurling.
Ó Fearghail said: "It was with deep regret that we learnt of the tragic passing of Shane early this morning in such shocking circumstances.
"He was a young man in his prime, immersed in our games playing and working to promote them on a daily basis.
"Our deepest sympathies go to his wife and daughter, the Mulholland family as a whole and his wide circle of friends."
