Wexford 0-14

A strong second half display helped Cork overcome the challenge of Wexford at Pairc Ui Rinn to book their place in the last four of the HL Division 1.

Jimmy Barry-Murphy's side trailed by six points at the break - 0-7 to 0-13 - but they outscored the visitors by eleven points to one after the resumption.

A Daniel Kearney point edged the Rebels in front entering the home straight and Patrick Horgan and Paudie O'Sullivan tagged on points before Seamus Harnedy sent over the insurance score.

It was all Wexford in the early stages as Liam Dunne's men made the most of the strong wind at their backs.

They found themselves 0-10 to 0-3 to the good after just 20 minutes of play but Cork kept plugging away and their patience was rewarded when they took over in pole position in the closing stages.

In the end, the Model County were left to rue 18 wides in comparison to their opponents' 15 and Cork now have a semi-final date with Ger Cunningham and Dublin on April 19th to look forward to.
