The Kerry CCC are set to slap a two-year ban on Kilmoyley vice-chairman Paddy O'Sullivan after he struck Paul Galvin with a hurley last Sunday.

The Kingdom's disciplinary committee met on Monday to discuss the much-publicised incident, which happened at the start of the second-half of last Sunday's drawn Kerry SHC final, and, after considering referee John Sexton's report, they have proposed a two-year ban for O'Sullivan.

The club has also been ordered to forward a four-figure bond to the county board as a good behaviour pledge which they will forfeit if any of their members are involved in any breaches of misconduct in the future.

According to The Examiner, the CCC have adopted Rule 7.2 (d) which states penalties for disruptive conduct by players, team officials or supporters not causing the premature termination of a game are at the discretion of the committee in charge.

Kilmoyley and O'Sullivan will have three days to appeal the ban and bond once they receive official notification.

Meanwhile, the replay between Kilmoyley and Lixnaw has been re-fixed for Austin Stack Park on Saturday, October 11 at 4pm.
