A dislocated shoulder could rule Galway's Conor Whelan out of the All-Ireland U21 hurling final against Waterford on September 10.
The senior star is facing a race against time to be fit after being forced to retire in this evening's extra-time win over Dublin at Semple Stadium. Whelan, who scored two points from full forward, would be a huge loss to the Tribesmen in their quest for a first Cross of Cashel since 2011 should he fail to recover in time.
TweetConor Whelan confirms he has a dislocated shoulder after tonight's #bgeu21 semi-final. Big blow to Galway if he was to miss the final. #gaa
