Padraic Joyce played his last game for Killererin yesterday.

The legendary Galway forward, who retired from inter-county duty in 2012, brought the curtain down on his 23-year club career after lining out against Moycullen in a Division 2 league encounter. The result didn't go Joyce's way as Killererin lost on a 1-8 to 1-14 scoreline, but it was by no means a disappointing weekend for the 38-year-old who was a selector with the Ireland team that beat Australia in the International Rules series on Saturday night.

Moycullen showed their appreciation to the 1998 and 2001 All-Ireland winning full forward by making a presentation afterwards to mark his retirement.
