The picture regarding Anthony Cunningham's future as Galway hurling manager should become clearer tonight when the embattled boss meets with county board officials.

The meeting will discuss the vote of 'no confidence' passed in the senior hurling management, which was reappointed for a fifth year only last Monday night. It's believed the players had made it known to Galway officials that they wanted change before that county board meeting took place.

It looks increasingly likely that Cunningham will be forced to step down, despite leading the Westerners to All-Ireland final appearances in 2012 and last month, both of which ended in defeat to Kilkenny.
