Fortunate to escape with a draw two weeks ago, Corofin made no mistake in today's Galway SFC quarter-final replay against Tuam Stars at Tuam Stadium.
The reigning All-Ireland club champions prevailed by 2-9 to 0-11 to set up a semi-final meeting wtih Cortoon Shamrocks. Corofin led by 2-3 to 0-6 at the break and closed out the game after Tuam's Cormac McWalter had to settle for a point from penalty early in the second half.
Last night, Salthill-Knockcarra scored the last three points to defeat Killanin 0-12 to 1-6 and earn a semi-final date with Mountbellew-Moylough.
