November is set to see a hurling exhibition take place at one of American's most famous sporting venues.

The Irish Independent reports that Boston's Fenway Park, home to eight-time Major League Baseball World Series champions - the Boston Red Sox, will play host to selections from Dublin and Galway, with details for the game currently being finalised.

Official details on the game are expected to be confirmed in an announcement next week.

Two years ago a hurling exhibition was played in the famous Notre Dame University, while Fenway, which was constructed in 1912, has hosted a number of GAA events over the years.
