Galway Club Championship

August 24, 2015

There were a few gambles gone astray on the local front with Killererin and Claregalway exiting their respective championships two weeks back. There are three matches down for this weekend and the question still is can anybody catch Corofin? They are 1/4 outright which creates such a lopsided book with Salthill and Mountbellow/Moylough joint second favourites at a double figure price of 10/1. Tuam are next In the betting but must pass this weekend's assignment against Caherlistrane which they're priced up as 4/7 favourites. Leitir Mor(8/13) v Caltra should be a good game but neither will survive the next round and the same is true of NUIG against Carrarroe.

As for the hurling well that is suspended and nobody will be too bothered about that now Galway are in both a Minor and Senior final. Galway's victories in both levels lit up the hurling championship in an epic double for the county. John Mulholland priced up the double on Sunday at 7/1 and its now 7/1 again both sides lift the All-Ireland double. The seniors are 15/8 to slay the cats with the minors priced up at 7/4 against Tipperary
