Three All-Ireland hurling semi-finals took place at Croke Park today, including the eagerly-awaited senior clash of Tipperary and Galway.
A wonderful encounter unfolded, with defending champions Kilkenny awaiting the winners in this year's Liam MacCarthy Cup decider.
And we had not one but two curtain-raisers. First up, at noon, Kilkenny and Galway replayed their MHC semi-final, followed by the meeting of Tipperary and Galway at 2pm.
All in all, it promised to be a magnificent afternoon of hurling at HQ, with three All-Ireland final berths up for grabs.
