Galway manager Anthony Cunningham has been full of praise for Cork ahead of their All-Ireland SHC quarterfinals at Semple Stadium on Sunday.

The Rebels have impressed since their defeat to Waterford in the Munster SHC and Cunningham has been particularly mesmerised by their scoring tallies in the campaign.

Speaking to the Connacht Tribune he said: "Cork put up huge scores every day they play. They've turned things around massively since their two defeats to Waterford in the league final and the Munster championship.

"They have top class hurlers. There are no chinks in their armour especially up front with Pat Horgan, their marquee forward, Harnedy and Lehane, who are all top class forwards. They definitely will take watching."

Meanwhile, Galway have been boosted by Conor Cooney's return to full training following a foot injury, although he is not expected to feature this weekend.
