Jason Flynn has declared himself fit for Galway's Leinster SHC final showdown against Kilkenny on Sunday, July 5.

The Tommy Larkins club man, who raised nine white flags in the quarter-final replay victory over Dublin, missed the comfortable semi-final win over Laois due to a broken finger he sustained in training.

"It's fine again," the 20-year-old told gaa.ie. "I didn't train yet, I'm only going back training this weekend.

"It happened in training and with the Laois game it was unfortunate but, it could have been worse.

"I have the all-clear and I'm looking forward to the week ahead. We've been training all year for this week.

"I was still able to work on my fitness and speed, which was great. It could have been a lot worse - look at Pauric Mahony there in Waterford. He's gone for the season, I'm lucky because mine was only short-term thing."
