Former Galway footballer Padraig Joyce may be getting a call from Kevin Walsh this week.
Joyce put in an inspirational performance as he helped his club Killererin to a shock win over a highly fancied St James' side in the Galway SFC last weekend.
The 38-year-old scored 1-05 including a goal from the penalty spot and pulled the strings for Killererin from centre forward.
With Galway preparing for the All-Ireland qualifiers, Walsh may be tempted to urge the former All-Ireland winner out of retirement. However, having retired in 2012, it is unlikey that call will be made!
Joyce wasn't the only ex-county star to shine in the Galway SFC last weekend as Cormac Bane kicked 0-09 (four frees) in Caherlistrane's win over Kilkerrin-Clonberne.
