Gary sizing up Mayo

Galway's Gary Sice

Gary Sice's thoughts are very much on Mayo ahead of the June 14th Connacht SFC semi-final.

Galway defeated Leitrim last weekend and no sooner had the final whistle sounded at Carrick-on-Shannon than the Corofin attacker was turning his attention to next month's joust with the defending provincial champions:

"Focus is already turned to Mayo. That job is done out there and now we have green and red in our eyes. We're looking forward to a good battle with them," he told The Irish Examiner.

"It's good to wins championship games and we have two wins in the bag now. We saw them as tricky assignments and they could have gone a lot worse than they did for us, so we are just glad to have the wins.

"A few lads have more championship games under their belts and we can focus the mind now. Once the league is over the sooner the games come so hopefully those games will stand to us.

"Yeah we have a few things to sort [with Mayo] there. It's been a while since we turned them over, so that'll be a good day and I'm looking forward to it."
