The 2015 Kilbeacanty 7-Aside Hurling Tournament  takes place this June Bank Holiday Monday (June 1st). This year the tournament coincides with the clubs 130th year anniversary celebrations and the official opening of the recently re-developed pitch in Kilbeacanty. The club are delighted to announce that 10 time All Ireland Winner Henry Shefflin will be in attendance on the day to cut the ribbon and officially open the new pitch. His club and current All Ireland Club Champions Ballyhale Shamrocks will be competing on the day along with a host of local teams from Galway and Clare including the reigning Kilbeacanty 7s and Galway County Champions Gort and recent All Ireland Club Champions St. Thomas' and Clarinbridge. 

This year there is an amazing prize fund of €7,000 in hotel breaks and sports training vouchers on offer to the winning team and Kilbeacanty Hurling Club would like to thank the main sponsors of the tournament Great National Hotels Lady Gregory Gort, Eamon and Terry Shiel New York and Heineken Ireland as well as all other local sponsors who support the tournament each year.

There will also be a BBQ throughout the day and Sean Walsh and the Galway Bay FM Roadcaster will also be present.

So come along to Kilbeacanty on June Bank Holiday Monday  for what will be a great days hurling which will also include the finals of the Joe Gillane Juvenile Tournament and enjoy the closing celebrations in McCarthy's Bar with live music from 7pm.
