Galway manager Kevin Walsh is certainly not getting carried by the fact that his charges are red hot favourites to see off New York in the Connacht SFC.

Walsh is adamant that they are not just going out for the weekend away and stressed to the Connacht Tribune that they are preparing for the game like they would any other.

Only five years ago, New York rattled the Tribesmen in the provincial championship and Walsh is determined not to let the same thing happen again.

"Absolutely, you'd be cautious. I'm not so sure they aren't going as well as they were back in 2010. They probably have more ability at the minute," said Walsh.

"Looking at them, they probably have between eight and 12 county footballers from different counties playing for them, from Down, Wexford and Offaly and so on. And then they have the Donegal lads, so there is a lot of talent playing for them."
