Galway have been boosted by the return of midfielder Tom Flynn.

The Athenry midfielder underwent surgery to repair damaged cartilage suffered while playing for DCU in the Sigerson Cup.

Flynn missed the majority of the National Football League campaign, but he returned to the fold in a challenge match last weekend.

Introduced as a second half substitute in the draw against Dublin at Skerries last Sunday evening, Flynn came through unscathed.
