Galway County Fleadh - Registration deadline

Following a hugely successful concert in February, preperations are in full swing for the Galway County Fleadh which will be co-hosted by Comhaltas Ceolteoiri Eireann branches from Maigh Cuilinn and Knocknacarra and will be held in NUI Galway from 15th to 17th May.
Over 120 competitions are opened to participants from U12 to adult and categories vary from Fiddle, Accordian, Comhra Gaeilge, Amhran Gaeilge, Ceili Bands, Sean-nos dancing, Harp, Set dancing and Feadog among many more.
The Fleadh will be officially opened in the Bailey Allen Hall NUI Galway by the president of Comhaltas Vincent Jordan who will address invited guests representing the political and cultural life of Galway.
The opening will be followed in by a concert of traditional music, song and dance with a special section by children drawn from national Schools around Galway City and County.

As the deadline, of 17th April, for receipt of applications approaches, all interested competitors are requested to get their applications in as quickly as possible in order to join the thousands who will perform at and attend the Fleadh over the weekend 15th to 17th May.
