Joe Canning will make his first competitive start of the year for Galway in Sunday's HL Division 1A clash with Cork.
The Portumna ace came off the bench to score four points for the Tribesmen in last week's defeat of Kilkenny and is included at wing forward at the expense of Dean Higgins.
