Ballyhaunis CS qualified for the Connacht GAA Post Primary SeniorC Hurling final with this impressive nine point win over Colaiste Mhuire Ballygar in Tuam Stadium on Saturday last.

The Ballyhaunis lads - who went in at half time 0-9 to 0-5in front - surrendered their lead in the 39th minute when Ballygars Simon Coyle broke through for a goal to put the minimum between the sides.

That was a close as the Galway lads got as Ballyhaunis dug deep in the second half, as Ballyhaunis goals from Sean Kenny, substitute Eamon Phillips and Shane Crinnegan on the stroke of full time - elevated the East Mayo school to the Connacht Post Primary SeniorC final.

In the other semi final Mercy College Woodford (Galway) defeated Roscommon CBS. The final is scheduled to take place on Saturday 28th February - with the winners advancing to the All-Ireland series in March.
