Anthony Cunningham expects to have Joe Canning available to him for this weekend's Walsh Cup clash against Offaly.

The Portumna ace watched from the sidelines as the Tribesmen opened their campaign with a win over Westmeath last Sunday and Cunningham revealed he is making steady progress in his recovery from a foot injury.

"Joe Canning will hopefully be back in a week's time," Cunningham revealed to The Irish Independent.

"And longer-term we have Cyril Donnellan, Niall Healy and Davy Burke, and that will be March before they are back in full training. They have had operations but they have gone well and overall we are happy enough.

"Niall Burke has a hip problem too. After that we have everyone, but it will probably be March before we have everyone."
