The new Galway senior hurling and football management teams were ratified by the County Board last night.

As expected, Anthony Cunningham is staying on as manager of the hurlers, having been handed an additional two-year term with a review at the end of next year.

He will retain the services of selectors Eugene Cloonan and Damien Curley, while adding former All Star Pat Malone to the think-tank.

Meanwhile, Kevin Walsh has been given a three-year term in charge of the footballers, with an annual review to take place at the end of each season.

Walsh's backroom team will be completed by selectors Brian Silke and Sean Conlon.
