Galway football board secretary Seamus O'Grady has called on the county's supporters to get behind Alan Mulholland's charges this weekend.

The Tribesmen entertain Armagh at Tuam Stadium on Sunday afternoon and the home side need a win to have any chance of avoiding relegation to Division Three.

Sitting on three points, just one ahead of bottom placed Louth, the Tribesmen are in grave danger of losing their Division Two status and with a tough away game against promotion chasing Monaghan coming up on Sunday week, it is imperative to beat the Orchard County at home.

And O'Grady told the Connacht Tribune that the supporters could play a huge part in spurring the players on in this weekend's clash.

"When the crowd get behind the team in Tuam, it is a real lift," said O'Grady. "It was a great help against Down - we are asking supporters to make a special effort on Sunday."
