Corofin manager Kevin O'Brien paid tribute to his players and the wider community after the back-to-back All-Ireland champions completed a four-in-a-row of Connacht club SFC successes.

Speaking to RTÉ after his side's 1-10 to 0-7 win over Padraig Pearses in yesterday's provincial final, O'Brien commented: "It's fantastic to win this game but in the context of four-in-a-row, it's a massive achievement for the club. It is probably a combination of the work that all the people are putting in.

"We have 35 or 40 lads training and we have people who have jerseys, getting balls, cones, making tea. Teachers in schools and everything. Credit to all those people.

"That is what today is about. We're just fortunate we get to play. The lads managed the game well today, which was important. The biggest satisfaction for me is we have this strong panel. Guys are really pushing and we look forward to the next six weeks now."
