For the first time ever three of Galway's greatest ever hurlers will be on stage together on Saturday, November 23rd for a very special event celebrating their incredible contribution to the game. The event produced by Paul Byrnes Media will feature an in-depth interview with all three greats and a look at their magnificent careers in the maroon and white. 

Joe Canning is one of Galway's greatest ever players and was hurler of the year in 2017. He's won 5 All-Star awards and picked up his first All-Ireland senior hurling medal in 2017. 

John Connolly of the Connolly dynasty is widely regarded as one of Galway's greatest ever hurlers and was on the Galway hurling team of the millennium. He won the hurler of the year award in 1980, 2 All-Star awards and was on the Galway team that won the 1980 All-Ireland senior hurling title. 

And Joe Cooney is regarded as one of the greatest players of all time. He won five All-Star awards in 6 seasons and was named Texaco Hurler of the Year in 1987. He's 2 All-Ireland senior hurling medals from 1987 & 1988. 

The event will include a champagne reception, a premium dining experience and an action packed show with a number of high profile panels along with the three Galway greats. Amongst the guests will be Kilkenny's 9 time All Ireland winner Tommy Walsh, captain fantastic Anthony Daly who led Clare to All-Ireland success in 1995 and again in 1997, Cork's Tomas Mulcahy, All Ireland winning captain in 1990 and Offaly great and 2-time All Ireland winner, Michael Duignan. Also on stage will be former Republic of Ireland footballer Niall Quinn who played club football for Arsenal, Manchester City and Sunderland. He also lined out for Dublin in the 1983 All-Ireland minor hurling final defeat to Galway. 

MC for the evening will be former Galway camogie star and now RTE analyst Aislinn Connolly. 

The night will also include some very special film and photography from the archives as well as contributions from some of the biggest names in the sporting world. There'll be lots of entertainment too including the brilliant Galway Tenors and  a very special performance from Riverdance star and current Kerry senior footballer Tomás Ó Sé.
