Wexford manager Davy Fitzgerald believes that Galway will be keen to make amends for their defeat to Waterford last weekend.

Leading by ten points at half time, the Tribesmen looked to be cruising to victory against the Munster side, despite facing into a strong wind in the second half.

However, Waterford came back to claim victory and although the result was of little significance, Fitzgerald feels that Galway will not have liked to lose in that manner.

“A goal in the last minute, so they are not going to be happy campers. They will be coming out to prove a point. But, you know what, we’ve got to meet these challenges,” Fitzgerald told the Wexford People.

“If we’re serious about doing something, no matter how thick Galway are, we’ve got to meet them head on, go after it, and let’s see what the story is.”

Galway and Wexford meet in Pearse Stadium on Saturday, throw in at 1.30pm.
