Corofin took another step towards completing a six-in-a-row of Frank Fox Cups when they powered past Caherlistrane in yesterday's Galway SFC quarter-final at Tuam Stadium.

Gary Sice scored goals in each half as the reigning All-Ireland club champions prevailed on a 2-10 to 1-6 scoreline. The sides were level on 1-3 apiece at half-time, but Corofin pulled away in the second half.

Damien Comer's Annaghadown will face Corofin in the last four after they accounted for St James' at Pearse Stadium on Saturday. Comer posted 0-4, while Frankie Burke weighed in with 1-5 for an Annaghdown side who had led by 0-8 to 0-3 at the break against their city opponents.

The other two quarter-finals went to extra-time. Mountbellew-Moylough edged out Moycullen by 1-13 to 1-12 to book their semi-final place, but there was no separating Milltown and Salthill-Knocknacarra who finished level on 1-9 to 0-12.
