Clare forward John Conlon believes that they have nothing to fear against Galway in the All-Ireland SHC semi-final.

The reigning All-Ireland champions are favourites to see off the challenge and advance to the final, but Conlon is confident that if Clare play to their potential they can cause an upset.

Last weekend, Clare produced a polished performance to overcome Wexford in the quarter final and although Conlon admitted to the Clare Champion that they were the team to beat, he is confident that the Munster side can trouble them.

"We are delighted to be through to Croke Park and an All-Ireland semi-final against probably the best team out there," said Conlon.

He added: "It's no different than when we won in 2013. They are out there to be taken down. Look at the subs that they could bring on the last day. They made a massive difference against Kilkenny. We will give it everything.

"We are really looking forward to it - it will be our first time back in Croke Park since 2013 and that's where we all want to play."
