Galway manager Micheal Donoghue is pleased with the progress that his charges are making during the NHL.
The Tribesmen have hit nowhere near top form in the 1B campaign so far and indeed have had to rely on late flurries to see off the opposition in all three of their games so far.
But Donoghue is not concerned by the level of performances and he told the Connacht Tribune that they are heading in the right direction.
"I think overall it was maybe a better performance than the last two. The lads worked hard for the last two weeks and we'll go in to another week's training into the Dublin game," said Donoghue.
"These types of games are not simple. We had two had weeks of training, right up until the match, and we were very conscious that there would be a bit of tiredness, but the attitude was a big step up and I know that the hurling will improve over the next few weeks. I think we are going in the right direction."
