The draw for the 2018 Galway senior football championship was made at the Claregalway Hotel tonight.
All-Ireland finalists Corofin have been paired with reigning intermediate champions Claregalway in the opening round.
Corofin, who meet the winner's of Saturday's clash between Nemo Rangers and Slaughtneil on St Patrick's Day, are in Group A where they will also face St James', Cortoon Shamrocks and An Cheathru Rua.
There is a new format for the senior championship which sees 20 teams divided into four groups of five.
Last year's semi-finalists were seeded into separate groups while an opening draw took place for the remaining 16.
