Gary Sice believes Corofin got the rub of the green against Castlebar Mitchels.
The Galway kingpins needed extra-time to get past St. Brigid's two weeks ago and it was a similar story yesterday at Tuam Stadium when they eventually wore down their Mayo counterparts in extra-time after conceding the last five points of normal time to claim a record eighth Connacht club SFC title.
"We were a little bit deflated, but we were here before two weeks ago, we'd been here before against Castlebar because last year down there it went to extra-time as well," the county star noted in the Irish Daily Mirror.
"We got out of jail and we ended up driving on. We got out of jail in normal time definitely. They were really pushing us, but I thought we were fantastic in extra-time. Our lads that came on, Kevin Murphy was exemplary.
"Justin Burke came on, Barry O'Donovan, Ciaran Brady were all fantastic when they came in and that's what you need at this level. These guys all produced and it was fantastic to see."
