Motion passed at Congress for Christy Ring winner to enter the qualifiers of the same year. 3rd placed team in the provincial qualifier group might feel they should be included as well. Probably a motion for another year? legendzxix (Kerry) - Posts: 7824 - 25/02/2017 15:04:54 1960474 Link 0 |
Positives! What about our motion to reduce the amount of 'outside' players? keeper7 (Longford) - Posts: 4088 - 25/02/2017 16:22:17 1960506 Link 1 |
Passed with a very large majority.

Fair play to Longford. It makes a joke of competitions to allow 5 outside players. carlovia (None) - Posts: 1517 - 25/02/2017 20:20:02 1960602 Link 1 |
8 counties have been given a huge boost today. The 8 Ring counties are playing for a place in the All-Ireland qualifiers. The prize on offer has just got bigger! legendzxix (Kerry) - Posts: 7824 - 25/02/2017 20:32:10 1960612 Link 1 |

Kerry finished 3rd in the qualifier group last year. Had Meath entered the All-Ireland qualifiers as Ring champions last year as per the new change, Kerry or any team finishing 3rd in the group maintaining their McCarthy status will probably think unfair that they are not included as well. In my own humble opinion teams finishing 3rd and 4th in the qualifier group and the Ring finalists should enter the qualifiers being drawn against 4 losing provincial quarter-finalists. legendzxix (Kerry) - Posts: 7824 - 26/02/2017 11:08:22 1960863 Link 0 |
