John Horan elected as the new head man of the GAA.
Best of luck to him with his tenure in charge. What are the biggest issues for him to tackle when he takes office?

The same issues as the current president hasn't tackled despite his pre election manifesto 3 years ago.

Buddy check things out before you say anything because I think that puts yourselves and Tip top of the pile in relation to presidents ahead of everybody else.

Have met Horan on a couple of occasions and seems genuine enough as far as I could tell. Of course, the proof is in the pudding! He seems to be interested in the welfare of GAA clubs abroad, which makes for a nice change.

Leds ,I think it's over half a century since there was a Dub in the job. It'll be interesting to see if the club scene is top of the agenda.

John Horan is the 1st Dublin born GAA President since 1924.

Delighted for him. Excellent achievement.

"We Dubs have everything, Croke Park, the media, refs, home grounds, TV coverage, sponsorships, advertising and now the Presidency...... stop bring so mean to us!". FFS give us a break.

1961. Wexford have had 2 and the last one was 1952. Clare have had 1 and that was 1887, Leitrim have never had one.
I don't care, good on Horan hope he does a great job but there are heaps of counties who haven't even had one president yet!

Well done to John Horan. Hope he has a successful stint and is accepted by one and all. Amazing how the main angle taken on this thread is about his county and not about the man. If people are getting uppity because he's a Dub I would think they need to take a long hard look at themselves. Mr Horan has the job so give him a chance.
