Tipp 3 in a row

(Oldest Posts First)

Fantastic Tipp team at present

I reckon we're looking at a 3 in a row side

What are the current odds for such?

Not a betting man at all, but that one IMO is def worth a flutter for the laugh!

Ya if we win our next game it will be three in a row. That would be great. Do you know it's 40 odd years since we did back to back.

I do, I checked

Listen don't want to be hyping yiz but the manner in which you won last year was exceptional and I see that trend continuing!

Yep.. I'll be sticking a crispy 50 note on it!

you wont get much of a return for your €50....best team in the country by a landslide wont get you good odds.

Yeah the odds on us winning three league games in a row are low cos we have already won two ;), so it's effectively the odds on us winning our next game.

Any talk about what might happen in the summer or the following year would only be pure speculation.

I am immensely proud of this team and the 2006/2007 minors ( Callanan, Mahers and McGrath). Let's not forget all the other great players between 2008 and now that helped get us to where we are now after a painful mid 2000s redundantly hidden in the shadows.

We've been a sleeping giant for over 50 years now and it's something the rest of the hurling community like reminding us of on a regular basis (only one All Ireland a decade, Kilkenny winning the same during the 4 in a row as we did in 49 years etc.). If we did two in a row I'd be ecstatic, never mind three in a row.

Anyway we have 7 or 8 elite hurling teams who don't see Padraic Maher raising Liam in September and won't rest until that dream is toast for us.

could davy fitz lead wexford to a leinster title
what with killkenny on the wane
Dublin going with a young team
and galway being galway
its quite possible davy could win a leinster with wexford
be a great achievement for him

That would be an amazing achievement if he pulled it off. I'd still have Kilkenny as favourites. If Wexford got to the Leinster it would be great for them cos they haven't made to one in a while.

Yeah, very true. There as even silly talk of Tipp winning a 5 in row back then.

40 odd years? Are you talking about All-Irelands? Tipp last won back to back AI titles in 1964/65. that's 52 years ago.

Nice try :) I hear there is a queue to get into the long grass with everyone in the queue sharpening their knives. There are 8 teams capable of stopping Tipp this year.
