Wicklow V Maynooth Uni tomorrow in Arklow. Could/should this have been the curtainraiser to Ballyea V Thomastown in Thurles today or tomorrow Kilkenny V Galway in the Walsh Cup final? keeper7 (Longford) - Posts: 4088 - 04/02/2017 13:50:17 1951804 Link 0 |

How many people will realistically attend this match? How many of the spectators at today's match would come early to watch that game? bennybunny (Cork) - Posts: 3917 - 04/02/2017 21:50:15 1951932 Link 0 |

They should have had a double header with the Wicklow football team at least Brianmac78 (Dublin) - Posts: 1168 - 05/02/2017 16:47:59 1952135 Link 1 |

I'm sure the Wicklow & Maynooth Uni players would've loved the chance to play in Nowlan Park today before the Kilkenny V Galway match. keeper7 (Longford) - Posts: 4088 - 05/02/2017 20:23:49 1952332 Link 0 |
They might have. They had their chance to play, briefly, about 12 years as the undercard. Then people realized that 17/18 year old from Kilkenny, Galway, Tipp etc are more important than seniors from lesser counties like Wicklow and Longford. Now, you guys must just stay in your place. But isn't hurling a grand oul game all the same. And sure aren't all the presidents real 'hurling men' out there spreading the gospel, committed to the promotion of the game etc etc
