Kieran Donaghy

(Oldest Posts First)

Just read the book, and also just listened back to podcasted interview on Newstalk.

I have often been on here in the heat of summer calling that man all sorts of things. I have given him dogs abuse from my couch and from the Hill. Gas how much you think you know a bit about a fella, and then discover you were so wrong.

It doesn't need me to go into why I have so much admiration for the man now, its all there in black and white for anyone who cares to read it.

Donaghy, I salute you and wish you well for another year in the green and gold.
I might never love the man, but you'd have to respect him, and hugely so.

Good luck for 2017 KD, A mighty man.

As the scripture says: 'One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!"

No doubt he's a gas man off the field.I never thought any different. But on the field I would not be a fan.He knows how to rile the opposition and half a million seething Dubs!To be fair he gets it back in spades.Especially against us.Philly and Johnyhave his number now.The Star is not shining so bright anymore but he still needs minding.

Almost finished the book and would echo Liams OP.

The man's gone through a lot but his legacy in the game is secure at this stage.

Wouldn't be his biggest fan and I'm not sure he's done a lot over the years to warrant his profile in terms of play and I don't think he plays the game in the right spirit, but he was a part of very good teams, has a more then decnt medal haul, is passionate about his county andcomes across as a decent lad off the field.

I thought it may have been bad taste to keep the retirement on the table and publishing a book at the time, keeping the ????? Open maybe a ploy to sell a few extra books, good luck to him though, maybe best to give the benefit of the doubt on that one.
