This is not just a problem in Kerry. It is also happening in mayo. Young people are playing for clubs where they themselves have no connection to. There are examples of rural schools where children might be playing for four different clubs but live in the same parish as the school mayotyroneman (Tyrone) - Posts: 1821 - 17/12/2016 09:13:20 1940637 Link 0 |

Galway City & its environs are one of the worst offenders in the country. The largest club in Galway with the biggest population catchment in Connacht knowingly register children with an address in other parishes. They have also being engaged in a number of questionable transfers granted by the Board. Like many things in the Gaa when it comes to rules, it's one rule for one & a different rule for others & then swept under the carpet. moc.dna (Galway) - Posts: 1212 - 17/12/2016 21:30:35 1940713 Link 0 |
